This guide takes a WooCommerce shop from "cards only" to "pay with crypto" in about twenty minutes. You need admin access to WordPress and a Cryptain account.
1. Create the store in Cryptain
In your dashboard open Stores → New store. Give it your shop's name and website, choose your price currency, and pick the coins you want to accept. Not sure? Start with USDT on Tron, USDC on Base, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Then open the store and choose New key under API keys. Copy the public key and the secret key. The secret is shown once, so paste it somewhere safe for the next ten minutes. Copy the Webhook secret from the same page.
2. Install the plugin
Download the WooCommerce plugin. In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
3. Connect it
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Cryptain and fill in:
- Cryptain URL: the address of your Cryptain dashboard, for example
https://cryptain.net - Public key, Secret key and Webhook secret from step 1
- Title: what customers see, such as "Pay with crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH)"
Save. The settings page now shows your webhook URL. Copy it.
4. Point the webhook at your shop
Back in Cryptain, edit your store and paste that address into Webhook URL. Click Send test webhook. A green 200 under Recent webhook deliveries means your shop is listening.
5. Place a test order
Add something cheap to the cart and choose crypto at checkout. You land on the Cryptain checkout: pick a coin, pay from your own wallet, and watch the page change to paid. In WooCommerce the order moves from Pending payment to Processing on its own.
How order statuses map
| What happened | WooCommerce order |
|---|---|
| Customer opened checkout, nothing paid yet | Pending payment |
| Paid in full, early or late | Processing |
| Paid part of the amount | On hold, with a note of the shortfall |
| Invoice expired unpaid | Cancelled |
| Refunded from Cryptain | Refunded |
Small settings that save support tickets
- Underpayment tolerance. Set 0.5% to 1% so a customer whose exchange shaved a few cents of fees is not stuck.
- Invoice lifetime. Thirty to sixty minutes suits most shops; shorter is fine for low-fee networks.
- Processing fee paid by. Decide whether you absorb the fee or add it to the customer's amount.
The plugin works with the classic and block checkouts and with WooCommerce's High-Performance Order Storage. Stuck? Use the chat on this site, or book our integration service and we will set it up with you.
